Major problems that become obstacles for beginners to start a business on the internet is the inability to create his own website because it related to programming language or HTML code that is complex. But the fact that complexity is due to ignorance beginners because it had never learned, or learned with the wrong source. With the following description, the view of the difficulty of making the website will disappear and turn into a fun activity.

Before we create website pages, we need an editor program. There are several programs that can be used editors for creating website pages. Some examples are: Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Notepad. For this time we will use the program editor "Microsoft FrontPage" (usually this program already installed on your computer based on Windows).

The first step you have to do is create a special folder to save the results of your website creation. Create a folder with the name "website".

 

 

 

I. Knowing Microsoft FrontPage

Previously, open Microsoft Frontapage program on your computer :
Click the Start menu and then click All Programs. Next find the icon Microsoft Office FrontPage.

After you click the FrontPage icon, then you can see FrontPage work page. Now is the time for you to know FrontPage work area.

The next step is to open a new work page, how: click the icon Create new page, or via the menu: File > New

There are 4 different kinds of display modes In the MS FrontPage 2003 which have their uses and functions of each (icon on the left below).

1. Design. This mode is used to create web pages directly on the page works without having to type in the web codes / scripts manually.

2. Split. This mode will display the 2 forms page display at FrontPage work, one in the form / design view, and one more in the form / display code (html).

3. Code. This mode is used to create web pages using html code.

4. Preview. Used to see the edits or the results of our website creation.

 

II. How to Create a Website Page

A. Write a text
The first step, please enter the text you're trying to work on your page, choose the Design mode, then write the website title, website descriptions, and also write your name on site work page. To create a new paragraph just press Enter key.

B. Set the text
Now we try to modify the text written in the previous web page we have created so that it looks more attractive. We will modify the title text on the paper. Follow the steps below:

1. Highlight title text.

2. See the Font Size menu box that reads the number 3 (12pt) located on the right box titled Times New Roman.

3. Change the size of the letters (font) to 6 (24pt).

4. Press the icon "B" which is on the right menu for Font Size bold.

5. Move the position in writing to the middle area of the website pages by clicking the icon Center.

 

The next step we will change the color of the title text (make sure you have highlighted the text). Then point the mouse arrow on the icon "A" for color selection.

Next we will try to make a line, which will separate the title and contents of the text below,

- Keep your mouse pointer after the last letter in the title.
- Click the Insert menu and then Horizontal line.

Until this point you can enter text into web page, change the text size, adjust the text position, text color and also put lines in the text ... Easy right?

 

C. Create a Hyperlink

Next let us add a hyperlink. Maybe you've opened the website which has many passages or sentences that contain links. If we click the part that contains the link, then we will be brought to the new website page designated by the link, this is called a hyperlink.

Now look at the website we have Cahayausaha writing. We will create a hyperlink in the text so that if we direct our mouse and clicking Cahayausaha writing then we will be brought to www.Cahayausaha.com web pages. How to make are as follows:

1. Highlight text Cahayausaha.  

2. Then point the mouse arrow to the part that was highlighted earlier.

3. Click the right mouse button.

4. Click the Hyperlink menu.

5. Find Address column, then enter the full address of the website Cahayausaha in this column. Type http://www.Cahayausaha.com/, then click the OK button. Now you have created a hyperlink.

 

Saving File

The next step please save your work. Click the File menu and click the Save As menu. This will bring up Save As dialog box, then save your work in this website folder you created earlier and give the file a name practice.htm

 

D. Create an Inter-page Hyperlink In One Website

Last is a way to create a hyperlink text where the text link to a specific website address. Now you will make a hyperlink directed to a particular page in our own website. In this case you will make a website with more than one pages. For example, you will create a main page (index), which will have 4 links to be connected to other pages are:

1. Link to this page * HOME *
2. Link to this page * PROFILE *
3. Link to this page * GALLERY *
4. Link to this page * CONTACT *

All you need to make next is 4 website pages with the name of the file home.htm, profile.htm, gallery.htm and contact.htm. Click Create new page icon, or click through the menu: File and click New. Save the files in the "website" folder that you have created in the previous.

Then enter the writing / text at page blank, such as page HOME

Then you save the page with the name of the file home.htm.

Perform these steps over and over again, to make three other files, namely: profile.htm, gallery.htm and contact.htm.

Note: Make sure you saved the all 4 files in the "website" folder.

How to connect pages to one another are as follows:

1. Make a list of menu links you want to connect. Examples: since we will link 4 pages then we have to prepare a list of 4 text menus: Home, Profile, Gallery and Contact.

2. Highlight the text Home and click the right mouse button and choose Hyperlink

3. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, note the field Look in: click on the Look in to search for a web page's file name to be addressed. In this example the menu Home will be linked with web pages that have a file named home.htm. If you already see the web page file you want to go, then click once on the file name and click the OK button.

4. Try to do it again to connect the Profiles menu text. Highlight the text and click the Profile right mouse button and choose Hyperlink menu.

5. Look for files with the name of the web page profile.htm, then click once on the file name and click the OK button.97

6. Do the same thing to connect the rest of the other menus, the menu gallery and contacts.

The next step you save the page you just work as index.htm

To test whether the hyperlink that you have created is already going well, try to click the Preview mode and click on each link. Or, you can simply check through your Internet Explorer browser, how:

Open the "website" folder and right click the index.htm file, select Open With and select Internet Explorer.

If you have open in Internet Explorer, please check the links one by one to all the previous menu you created, click on every menu, if they are connected to the page, meaning the process of making is already successful.

At this point you've mastered to enter text into web pages, change text size, adjust the position of the text, change the text color, and create a hyperlink to the text.

Note: Before you create links to connect pages to one another, first collect all the files to be linked into a single folder, this is to avoid link mistakes when your web files uploaded to website hosting server. And note also addresses the link, no difference between the link address and name of the file that you linked and the writing of a small or large-letters.

 

E. How to Install Background On Website

Next we'll learn how to create a background in the pages of our website. People give background color to their website to make it more attractive. There are two types of background format that can be displayed on our website, the Background Color and Background Image.

Install Background Color

The first step, prepare the pages of our website to be filled by background color. Please go back to your index.htm file that you created earlier. If you've opened, we will begin to process the background color, how:

1. Right-click on your web page, then select Page Properties

2. Having emerged Page Properties dialog box, you click the Tab Formatting

3. Click the Background colors, and specify the color you want to add, such as color 'yellow'.

4. Click OK.
 

Install Background Image

Now you will learn how to install background picture / image. Prepare a drawing that will serve as a background. Save the image with your other files in the website folder.

Note: For the image file name is up to you, but make sure it's in JPG, GIF or PNG.

If you've prepared the drawing file, we return to FrontPage. For practice, please go back to the file index.htm. We will begin the process of background images on your web page.

1. Right-click on your web page, then select Page Properties

2. Having emerged Page Properties dialog box, you click the Tab Formatting

3. After that, please check / checklist Background picture box, then click the Browse button.

4. After you click the browse button, the dialog box will appear to open the image files for background, you will find the website folder where your image files are stored.

5. Click the image file, then click 'ok'.

F. How to Insert a Picture And Tables On Website Page

Still in the index.htm file. Previously you also have to prepare the image that is fed into your website folder. Ok, now we begin to insert the image into your web page,

1. To make it easier for you to see the results later, try to return the background to this web page in a yellow background.

2. Click the Insert menu, then select Picture menu, then select From File menu.

3. Select the image that will be inserted into a web page, then click the Insert button.
 

Insert Table

Next we will learn to insert a table on website page. Tables in website design is important, because with this table you can manage website pages and allows you to design a good website. We discussed a little about some important parts of the table, the cell, row and column. Cell is part of the table consisting of 1 row and 1 column. While the row was lined cell in the order line, and the column is lined cell in the order of columns.

1. First move the cursor position just below the title line or prior to the word 'Home', then click the Table menu, then select the Insert menu, then click the Table menu.

2. Next will appear the Insert Table dialog box. To create a table of this exercise, we will try to enter the menu links and images into tables which we shall make, for that we only need 2 rows and 3 columns only. That's why the field size we fill rows with 2, and in the column we fill the columns with 3.

3. Then in the dialog box is also have Alignment menu. This menu serves to set the table position, whether to the left, right flat, or in the middle of the page. Well, we try first position in the middle, we fill this column with a choice Center.

4. In the dialog box, there is also a menu Specify Width. This menu serves to set the width of the table. Just fill this column with 680 in pixels. Later you can adjust the width of the table according to your wishes and needs.

5. Cell Padding on the contents with '1 'and Cell Spacing we fill with '2'.

6. Furthermore, there is also Border Size menu, this menu function to regulate the thickness of the sides of the table. If we are content with 0 then the sides of the table will not be visible. But because we are still learning and want to know how the form of a table in the pages of this website, then we just fill this column with 1.

7. When finished, then click the "OK".

8. Look at the table now been formed directly beneath the title line drawings.

 

Insert image into the Table

Next, we try to input images into the table in columns 2 and 3. The following way:

1. Click on your image. After that, click the right mouse button, then select Copy menu. Then, move the mouse cursor to the table to the 2nd line to the 2nd column, then click the right mouse button again and choose Paste. After that, move the mouse cursor to the table-3 line to the 3rd column, then click the right mouse button again and choose Paste.

2. Your Figure now in the second column!

3. Further highlight all the links menu on the page of the website unless Writing Home and Main Menu. After that, click the right mouse button and choose Cut. Next, move the mouse cursor into the table row 2 to column-1, and then click the right mouse button again and choose Paste. Well, the text that you create now already in the table row 2 to column 1, next to the picture.

4. Later in the column-1-1 line to fill with writing your Main Menu, Main Menu Move writings under the column to-1 line to 1. Same way as when moving Link Menu.

5. Next in Line-1 to column 2, fill it with the words Figure 1, and on-line 2 to the column 3, you fill it with the words Figure 2.

6. In order to have more tidy appearance, we must adjust the width of the column  and images, to customize it, you can arrange it through the Cell Properties, right click the column 2, then select Cell Properties.

 

G. Coloring Background Table

We will change the table background color  in Line 1.

1. Highlight all the fields in row 1, on the highlighted then press the right mouse button and select Cell Properties menu.

2. Further properties dialog will appear. Let us focus first on the Background menu. To select a color, click the Color dropdown menu.

3. In this exercise we will install the background with a yellow table. Choose the color yellow and klick the OK button.

4. Now look at the results.

 

The image as a Background Table

Other functions that can be applied in the table are entering the picture (image) as background tables. Let us try to change the background color of our table at row 2 column 1 by entering the picture as the background color instead, do the following:

1. Point the cursor at row 2 column 1 and click the right mouse button and select Cell Properties menu. The next display will appear Cell Properties window.

2. Note on the Background column. Activate the Use background picture by clicking the small box beside it.
3. Click the Browse button to find the image you want to make the background.

4. Click on the image file that will be used as background and then click the Open button.

5. Finally click the OK button.

Let's see the results. When the images used as background on a table then the image will be shown over and over again to fill the table area. With precise calculations you can use this facility to design a beautiful website display.
